Stylized Dungeon Tutorial

I followed the course from 3dMotive over on Udemy, the course is here. I found this course out of a drive to make and work on a longer form environment.

About the process

The course started out with blocking out the scene and going over the basics of how to create modular pieces (pieces that only needed to be textured once and can be reused).

This tutorial formally taught me ZBrush. I was really thankful to dip my toes into the software. That fall I had a class that taught ZBrush but I was already comfortable with the program, making the class a lot easier.

After the block out, individual parts were brought into ZBrush to create that stylized look. To the right is an example of the tiling floor stones. Above you can see the progression of the layout, to textures being applied.

Below is a collection of renders and texturing examples of pieces in the scene. It was really cool to make each individual piece then see them all come together to create the Dungeon Diorama.
