Pocket Plants
Pocket Plants is a 3rd person game about healing the environment a little mushroom man finds himself in.
The game was designed around having a one input restriction. The game is playable entirely with just the mouse and clicking. The main draw is the environment- which I got to work on! The game changed drastically from the initial design.
Game-Ready Art
I worked as an environment artist on the game. I worked in Maya to create some of the foliage in conjunction with my other teammates. We decided to lean into a very stylized art style, feeding into the whimsy aesthetic of the game.
Below are screenshots of the props and pickups I created through the course of this project.
Available on Steam
Our 7 person team was able to release the game free on Steam! It was a really cool process. But even cooler was getting reviews on the game and even videos! There are a handful of gameplay videos floating around YouTube (I have one linked here). It was definitely one of the coolest parts of the whole project, seeing our effort made visible by others.
